About Eric

Eric Weber, author of From Data to Product, has 15 years’ experience working in and teaching others about data. Eric is currently the Head of Experimentation, Economic Insights and Metrics at Yelp. Eric also advises and teaches at Product Faculty and Propulsion Academy.

Eric loves working with people and data, educating others about data’s value and helping people excel in technical roles. Eric’s strength in teaching others was developed through his academic career as an assistant professor, and has continued in his individual contributor and senior leadership roles at LinkedIn, CoreLogic, and now Yelp.

Eric geeks out about statistics, machine learning, R, building great teams, and executive education.

Eric holds a PhD and Masters in mathematics from ASU, a Masters in Business Analytics from University of Minnesota, and is currently completing an executive MBA at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
